Evolution is more than survival.
Within the Orion Codex, evolution does not simply mean biological change or technological progress.
It means deliberately developing the qualities that allow human beings and societies to meet increasingly difficult challenges.
That can include:
- stronger bodies
- stronger minds
- greater knowledge
- better judgment
- resilience
- responsibility
- moral development
- stronger communities
- better institutions
- greater independence
- greater freedom
A society may possess extraordinary technology and still be fragile.
A person may live comfortably and still be incapable of handling adversity.
True progress requires development across many dimensions at the same time.
